The entire wood veneer faced island was refaced with a solid wood structure to support the new granite and to provide a cleaner look.

AFTER:  Professionally sprayed a Dove White color the grain is much less noticeable and the different wood/veneer textures are totally blended.  The satin nickel hardware now pops, the room is brighter and fresher, and the hardwood floors are now enhanced by the contrasting color.  The new granite and glass subway tile backsplash complete the update.  

BEFORE:  A heavily grained outdated oak kitchen.  Solid wood doors and faux veneer side panels made for an inconsistent and choppy profile.  The homeowners wanted to update the look and brighten the room.
